What you get in a cross stitch kit!

$9.00

  • We guarantee this kit can be completed easily at home!

Our Rug Trimming Scissors are the ideal size for trimming fluffy yarn ends and evening out your rug when you're finished.

Their medium size makes them the perfect 'in between' craft scissors and they're not only great for rug making but well suited to cross stitching, embroidery, punch needling and other needle crafts.

These vintage-inspired scissors have a wide blade that is extra sharp. The tip of the scissors is in silver steel, while the rounded handles are coated in a bright gold plating.

If you are a rug-lover, we recommend this size of scissors! If you only do smaller needle crafts (like cross stitch or embroidery) we recommend checking out our EMBROIDERY SCISSORS.

"Having come in to cross-stitching as someone who has only ever dabbled in sewing, I was pleasantly surprised! As soon as I started I was addicted! Everything was packaged so beautifully and the instructions were so easy to follow! DEFINITELY recommend!"

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take?

In general it will take between 5hrs - 15hrs for a piece. It depends on the complexity of the design and how large the shapes are. Remember, it's all about enjoying the journey!

What if I’ve stained my fabric?

If you’ve made a mess on your fabric (we all need a snack while hard at work) you can easily give your design a wash after you’ve finished!

Just use lukewarm water with a hint of laundry detergent and soak your piece. After a few minutes you can gently scrub at the stain with your fingers. Be very careful not to scrub at any areas of thread, since these could come loose! You don't want your hard work to unravel.

Lay your aida out on a towel to air dry. Once it's all dry, you can iron it on a low setting before putting it back in your hoop!

Which kit is right for me?

All of our kits are 100% beginner friendly! But some require a little more mental energy than others to get started.

Our Triptych and Floral Friends bundles include wonderful kits for beginners, although the Bee & Blossom kit may be slightly trickier because it uses metallic thread.

What is in my kit?

Our kits come with everything you need to create a masterpiece in your home! See above for more details.
